Corrupted Sandisk sansa C100 - Firmware is 2.0.007A?

Can the MP3 player be formatted? I have a 'recorded' voice item that is corrupted but I cannot delete it when connected to the computer. Now I cannot record voice anymore. It also takes much longer to come on or even to show up on the computer when you plug it via the USB.

Further to my question about corrupted Sandisk.

Finally spoke to Sandisk technical support - Unable to clear problem or even format the MP3 player. They are replacing it.
