I have a Countax Rider 30 with a 11.5 hp Briggs and Stratton engine?

I have a Countax rider 30 with a 11.5 hp Briggs and Stratton engine. It runs fine for about an hour then cuts out and wont restart for a couple of hours, Has anyone any idea what the fault can be?

It may be fuel vaporisation in the carburettor, is it worse in hot weather?

i have the same engine on my go kart that came of a countax rider 30 my one had a simaler problem when the engine gets hot the coil can cut out or misfire they are about $32 us

(the coil provids the spark for the spark plug)

Hello, this sounds like a coil unit breaking down. If you can when it cuts out check to see if you have lost your spark, or it may just be a spark plug that needs changing. Phil.

actually we couldn't start it at 1st, there was a spark but the fuel smelt old so we drained the tank as well as the carb, & put new fuel in & it finally spluttered into life. still runs rough so intend to put a new plug in & wash the air filter. will let you know the results.

I have just bought one (without a manual) and it appears to have the same fault do you have a manual, if I had the manual i may be able to sort the problem out. Many thanks
