Vent Axia window fan slows down?

I have a 9" Vent Axia fan that after about 20mins of operation, slows down. The hub of the fan gets very hot and I'm guessing this is possibly the problem because after I've switch it off to cool down and switch it on again, the fan operates at full strength until it gets hot again.

Is this repairable and how do I go about it? I'm not sure if there is a thermostat somewhere attached to the fan, if so, maybe someone can tell me where!

Thanks in advance for your replies

motor bearings going, can be repaired but expensive, prob cheaper to buy new motor on ebay, never use wd40 on electric motors has it burns the motor out only use light mineral oil or specially designed motor oil

Adding to previous post, I have got it going again by giving it a good dose of WD 40 through the motor vents & fan base, though I wouldn't recommend this as it interferes with the built in lube system.

I have the same problem with a VA 9" window fan, gets hot & slows down/won't start, can't open the motor housing to clean it, any ideas?
