Fix Canon POWERSHOT A60?

I have a Canon Powershot that will not power on. I put in new batteries, cleaned the leads (the camer is very clean). Still no reponse. Someone said the MEMORY card may be full.. if so how do I erase a memory card if the camera won't power on so I can go to the menu? Thanks for any help

Im not sure about it powering on. Id say that if it has new batteries and the contact points are clean, I suppose the camera itself is fried inside electronically or has a short (i suppose you could buy a dc wall adapter to test if your camera will recieve power at all. That might help narrow it down but the dc wall power supplies are usually $15ish+).

But in response to your memory card issue, often times you can find a memory card reader, Im not sure what type the A60 takes, but there are many sites that sell PC card readers where you can access the card via your pc without the camera. newegg.com and zipzoomfly.com are good places to start. Again, be sure if you do get one that its the correct one for your camera. I hope that sheds some viability on one of your options.
