How can i fix my accenta alarm?

Our fuse blew in our main fuse box which knocked out our alarm. We fixed the fuse and power is now back in the alarm sytem but the alarm is not working. Any ideas as to how we can get our alarm up and running? The alarm make just says Accenta on the front, no make or model number.

Hi Steve & Nicola,
sounds to me like your keypads are locked out , the cause of this is normally the battery is in need of changing.
To get it up and running again simply disconnect the mains power from the main panel by removing the fuse from the spur unit, then remove the front & disconnect the battery.
Then reconnect, but leave the battery disconnected.
The panel should come back to life again.
Enter your code to turn off, if your code doesn't work try 0123, replace panel front & press reset.
You can buy a battery from any electrical wholesalers for £10 approx.
Hope this helps

Johnny,

Thanks for the reply. There is light on the alarm key pad so we know that power is going to the alarm but when you press the key pad it is just dead. It makes no noise and you can't even press the reset button. We have taken the fuse out of the main alarm box and checked it that is all ok. Any ideas.

i'm currently having this problem too. An Accenta alarm too. Basically the keypad lights are on but its not responding to any button press. Exactly the same situation after a powercut. Any thoughts?

Let me know and i'll try and help you out.
