my kitchen light fixture just stopped working. i changed all bulbs, and it still does not work. Whats wrong and how do i fix it?

We thought our outside light was a goner. Did everything we knew to do, changed bulbs, switchede it off and on many timesw, waited it out just incase a miracle was about to happen and lastly called an electrician. He could not find any problem. That was 2 years ago. The other day my husband went to the circuit breaker for some reason or other and lo and behold, whatever he did, made our outside light begin working again.

There is a lose connection at the light fixture. either a broken live or neutral cable. Or else there is a lose connection at the switch.
