How can I fix the fan on my oven?

I have a neff B1432 electric fan assisted oven. It makes a coarse grating noise when on & is coming from the fan. I took the back plate off but was unable to make any further progress as I couldn't remove the fan. Anyone had a similar problem & can help?

There seem to be a lot of people on this site who can't remove the fans on Neff ovens. Inside the oven, on the fan blades, there is a holding nut which needs to turn CLOCKWISE, ie not the way you might expect. Depending on how gummed up your oven is you might need a squirt of WD40. Once it's off the blade should pull off, though in my case I had to give a sharp tap with a hammer on the centre of the shaft. The fan motor can then be removed by unscrewing the three-legged holding bracket.
NB if you sort the existing motor or order a new fan, when you turn the oven back on you must RESET THE THE DIGI-CLOCK before the fan will work (red temperature light will also only work then). If the display is flashing, even though the oven's making a noise, the fan won't come on.
