Hotpoint First Edition 1000 WM52p blowing fuses?

My son's washer was filling and emptying but no motor movement

Close examination of the circuit board showed burned out traces on the board connections to the motor which I managed to repair.

The machine then tried to turn and shook violently before blowing the plug fuse.

Looks like the motor's duff to me but could brushes cause this? wouldn't have thought so. Will check them anyway as soon as convenient.

Anyone else seen anything like this?

done
sounds 2 me that the wires that connects 2 the brushes is touching the motor housing make sure they do not touch the motor housing as this can cause the fuses 2 blow that happened 2 me everytime i put on the machine it would trip all the electric i checked everything in the machine and thats what it was now the machine is working fine now
