I have recently moved into property with Accenta 8 alarm system. We accidently disconnected the power and the alarm went off, the alarm was reset with the code, but we are unable to stop the blue strobe light from flashing outside, can you help me with a suggestion on how to stop this?

Our alarm has been playing up for years, and your code helped us out a lot, the alarm would play up and beep whenever we moved around the monitor points. Now we dont have to worry about this crap

Firstly, if the alarm triggered with a power disconnect, it suggests the internal backup battery requires replacing .. available from Maplin, Screwfix direct and electrical wholesales for around £8.
Not sure why the strobe would continue after a reset, but you could try the following :-
Prog,9,9,9,9,1,2,0,reset,reset.

that sequence initiates and then cancels a strobe test from the engineer menu. ( providing the engineer code hasn't been changed from the 9999 default.)
