aeg dishwasher fault?

My AEG favorte 3a, (pnc 911232534)
Displaying fault .30, the book says the leak prevention system has been triggered, something to with the aqua control system, I'm guessing this is the inline device on the hose?

Has anyone had experience with these faults?

Hi
My AEG integrated dishwasher not showing light and not working, i have changed the fuse but still no success ?? reason

This is to further the solutions in respect of the continual running of the pump motor. Whils tilting the machine at 45 degrees does temporarily solve the situation, it is dealing with the symptom and not the cause. In my case the cause was a build up of fat and other stuff in the aqua system and, more importantly, in the large rubber pipe running from the main body drain to the water pump. To fix this you have to renmove the pipes and wash them all out - a long job but a permanent solution for me!

I suspect the cause of the i30 error codes is a leaking pipe split or connection. Mopping up the water in the collecting tray which is designed to prevent flooding will only be a temporary fix. I had this problem and the fault was traced to the three way hose which was split.

£20 replacement has seemed to fix the problem for now!

Thank you David Dec 2010 you are a star! just did the same to my integrated dishwasher and saved myself £75 plus vat call out charge to AEG.

My AEG 40010 VI wouldn't work and was displaying a continuous flashing light on the running programme. had 3 intermediate audible signals and the end of programme light was flashing three times also. The manual talks about an anti-flood device. I had no idea where that was.
The D/W is built in and is difficult to get out so I took off the only panel I could. This is below the door and is secured by 6 screws. As I was taking the panel off water started coming out of one corner. I panicked and put a low tray under the corner. When I finally removed the front panel I could see that there was a drip tray that was full of water. I used a sponge to mop up the water.
I turned on the D/W and it started working!! I then stopped it, refitted the front panel and all was well.

I've had the D/W for 2 years, so hope it will be another 2 years before I have to do this again.

My AEG FAVORIT dishwasher upper basket keeps being forced forward breaking the seal to the spray arm, I've tried turning down the water pressure but it still happens even fully loaded with pots. Any ideas?

We have emptied out the water collected a couple of times, but every 2 washes the fault 30 will come up again. How do we find where the leak is coming from?? Thanks.

to willh, we have same problem, have taken off front panel below door, but cant find where you siphon water from, can anyone help please?

freddy, great advice; i've just had a recurring i30 problem with my Favorit 65060 (built in) - the overflow first tripped about 5 months ago (after which I emptied the water collected underneath) and again 3 months ago, 1 month ago and then once every 3 washes - after some careful observation I realized it was the problem freddy describes - and, touch wood, the cleaning of the 'bagpipes' / pipe seems to have worked! A couple of notes others may find helpful 1) my d/w is built in, so taking it out was a pain, I took the front lower panel off below the door and syphoned out the water using a £1.29 hand syphon pump! 2) I think this problem is caused in part by not using salt, but only relying on the water softner in d/w tabs - this part of the d/w is "pre detergent" in the cycle, and I live in a hard water area so crud was mainly limescale... I'm going to use salt from now on.

Same problem as many others. "Anti-flood" device seeming to trip RCD in housefold. Have discovered that one of the hoses is spraying water out in small amounts. This would cause all the problems noted. Am currently finding out if it is the hoseclip being weak or the rubber perished. Also, signs of water on the bottom of the motor. Any such water would trip the RCD in the household. This is more likely than the "anti-flood device" switch being responsible. Also, anti-flooding does not seem to mean stopping an internal flood - it looks more like an anti kitchen-flooding device. A perfect way never to find out there is a leak until it is too late.

AEG Favorit 50730 Sensorlogic: Keeps running on continually, until we switch it off manually. Does not always dry, pots sometimes cold & wet, but washed.

Briandc, August 2008
on several of models the water reservoair , the plastic house on the left side must be cleaned, and the big hose in the bottom from reservoir to the center is filled with fat so the water fills to slowly and it runs over in the reservoir overflow hole and down in the bottom. this , little by little fills up the aqua stop sensor system. IThis causes water in the bottom of your machine and waterblock system to trig.

j troli, November 2007
Check the pipework ,as you look front on left hand side panal,
remove it (turn off power first) over time it fills with fats, remove plastic bag pipe set up and flush clean, then replace.hey presto.

freddy, June 2007
I am having the same issue - I'm concerned that just emptying out the water is only a short-term fix.
It seems to me that water is splashing out of the salt "canister" on the left hand side of the unit during the water-fill process. Should I try to fix this?

Graham, May 2007
Thanks for the advice Nick - saved me a call-out charge. Please note that you will probably get some water spilling out on to the floor when you tilt the dishwasher on its side.

Eric, November 2006
No not on hose but a float in the base of machine. Tilt washer on side to drain water out of base allow to dry and should cure thye fault 30 prob.

remember to disconect from the mains electricity before doing this
