Temp reading on Hotpoint Minstral FF93N?

The display temperature for the freezer shows readings in excess of +30 degrees C even though the cabinet is at normal temp. Then later shows -22 degrees C as expected. Later still will show incorrect high temps again. Is it a simple part replacement???

Thank you BG for your response. After I posted the question the freezer started to frost up, so I replaced the freezer thermister (green) and solved the problem.

Sounds like a board fault otherwise if the temp read high correctly, the alarm would go off.Control pcb's around £50.00 and are in the top plinth, couple of scres ither side underneath and the plinth pulls forward.
Always unplug before dismantling.
