fixing a ceiling light but there is 2x black wires and 1x yellow wire and dont know what goes where, all my ceiling lights upstairs and down now dont work

Hi Debbie. Main thing to do is to turn off the electric and separate all three wires with connectors. Then look in the fuse board to see which fuse or breaker has gone. Once you have replaced the fuse wire, or reset the breaker,you will be able to have the rest of your lights on.

you need to get a digital multi meter reader to find out which wire is live once u have found out the other black one will b ur neutral and the yellow one is your earth
