vauxhall zafira exhaurst gas recycling valve can I fix it?

vauxhall zafira 1.6 petrol 2001 engine managment says an EGR fault (po400) where is it and can it be done DIY or does it need garaging?

hi
on sohc engine's the valve is fitted to the centre of the inlet manifold on dohc to the left. Yes it can only be tested by a garage with specialist electronic equipment.
