WHIRLPOOL WASHER MODEL LSQ8543JQO ULTIMATE CARE II?

I am trying to replace a hose that is split, but I am having difficulty taking the top shell off and cannot get an answer from Whirlpool or find anything online. Any help out there in this matter?
