Once you remove the button and the air tube, how does the unit come apart? Does the threaded circular tube pull apart from the plastic chromed front facia?

We have a grohe shower with remotes. The shower fails to come on when selected but will start if I lower the shower head or turn on the other manual shower on the same pump. Any ideas?
