Fix Fault Krups

How can I re-insert it so it will, when lowered, close the bread holders and begin to toast?

My Krups toaster oven timer is automatically set for minutes and although the timer will increase or decrease, the change does not stay and it automatically defaults to 30 minutes or 30 seconds.

How do I remove the outside housing - I have removed 6 screws and although it is loose I cant actually remove it?

Krups toaster #117 - Lever will not stay down when depressed. Usually means it is not plugged in, but does this event when plugged in.
