Fix Fault Shimano

My shimano gears slip in one gear. When I select 2 - 9 the chain slips. This is the only gear selected that it happens to. Any ideas as to why.

How do I increase the tensioning on the rear derailleur changer (Shimano)?

i cannot get fourth gear to work it just keeps slipping,has anyone taken one of these apart and had any success in fixing a similar problem.thanks
