many thanks to Si Oct 2010 for directions, €4.89 in Maplins in Dublin for a 10-pack of fuses. Saved a fortune in engr call-out and repair charges

Basically, just undo the 4 retaining screws, slide the glass outand replace tbe bulbs.

Fuse is inside i remember when i put it together what a stupid place if that goes, (mine has just blown ) damn !!!

My cooker hood did same, bulb blew then no power. Checked supply from mains and all fuses, all ok. At a loss until I saw these posts. Opened black control box (6 hex screws) and found small fuse. On my way to shops to see if this fixes it. Thanks

In fact, there is a small 3.15 amp fuse inside the control box. His is easily replaced proving you have the necessary hex screwdriver to undo the screws. Don't pay £80 for a fuse worth pennies! :)

in the chimney part of the hood (lower part, just slides up) is a circuit board in a black casing, there is a 3.15 amp fuse on that board , make sure you turn power off from mains before doing this. But dont be surprised if fuse blows again. Often a sign of more serious problem.

there isn't a fuse in the unit . the electric the supply to the fan should come from a switched fuse or a fused outlet to find it you may have to trace the wiering back,
unfortunatly many instalers wire the fans direct to cooker outlet points or sockets .at best the fused outlet may be behind the chimney or ontop of units.

whichever the fuse will only go if there is a fult so moter may be busted anyway

I have the same problem and cannot find mention of a fuse in the diagram. Control gear (switchbox) is £71 thought which I think is extortionate which might replace the fuse. Anyone else help please?
