yesterday my 825 powered off and wont power on. It wont charge either! I am dismantling it at this moment.
fortunatelly i have 2 identicle 825z3's so i am in a happy position i can test every item with the other camera which is perfect. To help you to issolate the root of your problem. Does it power up? Is there life in the battery? If you remove the battery and connect the charger to the camera the red lamp should come on for a brief second. When you press power button with battery and charger connected does anything happen at all? Does the red lamp ever come on? An easy method to check if a chrager is working is simply to feel it. A charger is warm when its plugged in to the mains even if not charging the battery! If its plugged in and cold, its broken. If i cant fix this camera, maybe we should get together to see if we can make 1 working camera for you to use from the parts we have of both cameras?

1 Slide open the battery cover and check that the battery is fitted correct way round and also making good clean connection with the contacts at the bottom.
2 Check that correct voltage (5volt DC) is at the camera end of charging cable.
