How can I fix my cassette recorder ?

My Hitachi (TRK-7200E) radio recorder has started to slowup/stop near the end of recording/playing 60 minute audio tapes (30 per side ). Is it possible to fix/repair ?

could just be the drive belt...if you can get inside it.(usual precautions!) find the belt and if it seems too sloppy get one slightly smaller...CPC sell a belt kit(contains several sized belts)
