i need to change belt on washing machine(getting grief from the mrs)..belt is 1 and half inches too small and cant see where tensioner is?? can see belt goes around drum and spindled coil at bottom ???? any help

put the belt on to the motor pulley lining up the slots/grooves in the belt evenly ,now feed the belt around the drive pulley when nearly on TURN THE DRIVE PULLEY IN THE SAME DIRECTION AS THE BELT (this WILL make the belt FEED OVER the pulley and onto the drum)
this is similar to putting a chain back on a bike
