How do you fix a leak where your toilet supply line hooks into your cistern?

I have an American Standard toilet that has a leak. Specifically, the water is leaking down from what looks like the bottom of the cistern and the top of the 9" hose toilet supply line. It is a slow dripping that is continuous. I replaced the 9" section but it STILL leaks. Any ideas on the problem and/or an easy fix??

If you think it's coming from the supply joint then try Fernox3 joint sealing compound in a tube. It stopped all leaks I've come across. Most plumbing shops sell it I haven't seen any in the Big DIY stores. It doesn't set solid it like the bath selant softset and flexible so the joint can be easily undone anytime.
