keeps showing lense cap on when not - screen is black & will not film due to this - but does playback tapes i have already recorded on - could you please help thans yours garry.

There is a fault with the CCD,captures the image.If you go to the JVC website they have a list of models
that have this problem and are offering a free repair until June 2009,a phone number is provided so you can check details etc.Hope this is of some help,also some models out of warranty are eligable.
