Hi my dishwasher stopped halfway through its cycle and lost power on light. Checked mains into machine and its ok 240v. Also blown down waste pipe and no blockage. Emptied machine by hand but there is no power light when the on/off button is pressed.Model number D7182 super crystaljet de luxe E.

where the handle to open the door is situated there is a micro switch inside. This is operated by the metal shackle which is fixed to the main body. If the switch isn't being clicked or it is duff the power won't come on.

to replace the switch is a nightmare as you have to remove all the stainless steel inner plate on the door. While you are doing this the springs which hold the door open/closed come out of place and then you have to take the sides off to sort them out. A lovely pliece of design.
