What does F8 mean on my Rover 25?

I have a 2005 Rover 25.Recently the indicators stopped working but then suddenly seemed to be ok but then I noticed the clock was no longer visible and had been replaced by F8.Can ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THIS MEANS AND IS IT DIFFICULT/EXPENSIVE TO FIX.
