accidently nicked one of the cables?

accidently nicked one of the cables, every time I set the alarm it goes off with the tamper setting on the box.
Do I have to replace the full cable or can I attached the sensor to where I cut it.

You do not need to replace the cable,you can repair it or put the sensor were the cable has been cut.
