Ford Fiesta 1.3 (1999)?

Any ideas on what the problem could be with this Ford Fiesta Finesse 1.3 1999 model. Switched off ignition and left headlights on, and at the nearside headlamp theres a sound of a motor running, lifted bonnet to make sure it wasn't the fan, any advice appreciated.
