Fisher Paykel dd603 How do you remove the entire rotor assembly?

Hi, I have read all the information and watched a video about the f2 error code on my dish drawer. The repair looks easy enough, but I can not get the metal post under the rotor assembly out.
In the video I watched the parts came out at the same time, leaving an opening (hole) to accept the new part.
I can not seem to get the meal part out.
Can anyone help me? Is it supposed to come out? Should I pull it out? With plyers?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

The rotor has a large round plastic flange. Turn that flange quarter turn anti clockwise and then pull rotor up & out complete.
