my zanussi fl828 wnot wash?

When i turn the dial to the selected programme then pull out the button the drum is not filling with water and commencing the wash cycle.Any ideas would be appreciated.

is it locking the door?? if not theres your answer! if it is it will be blocked in an hoiusing at the back of the filter.
