It sounds like the zones are staying open, or the exit delay time is set too high. When you set the system, if any zone lights are lit it means they’re not closed properly, i.e a door or window are open.

If you have the front door open as you set the system the light will go out when you exit. Listen then for the beeping stopping. If it doesn’t, and any zone lights are still lit, there is a zone wiring fault on the sensors themselves.

The maximum delay time isn’t actually documented in the engineer manual, but I think it will go all the way up to 90 seconds.
To change it, make sure the system is in Day mode (unset). Press the PROG button, all LED’s will light. Enter your customer code, and the Day & Tamper lights will come on. Then press PROG again, and enter 9999. This will now put you in Engineer programming mode, as the exit delay can’t be changed in Customer programming mode. Be careful here, and follow my steps exactly.
Now the Day and Attack lights should be on. Press number 1 on the keypad, and Zone LED’s 1 & 2 will light. You’re now in exit delay adjustment mode.
Enter the time you require in 10 second increments, divided by 10, so for 10 secs you’d enter “01?, 20 would be “02?, etc. I wouldn’t go past 30 seconds, as the max time is not documented, and that is long enough in most buildings anyhow. Once you’re done and entered your two number time, the Day and Attack LED’s will come on again. press RESET twice to exit Engineer mode and back to Day.

Done! Hope this helped!
To any engineers reading this, the Engineer 9999 code CANNOT be changed, it is fixed permanently. The advice I have given is not a security risk as the customer code needs to be entered before Engineer mode can be accessed, so burglars cannot possibly get into the main system programming mode without knowing the house owner’s code first.
