My MV700e canon will not record, i can play tapes which i have already used with no problem ,the sound will record but no image, i suspected that the heads required cleaning, so i ran a new cleaning tape for 10 seconds or so and then put a new tape in and attempted to record again but all that happened was a flickering as if the tape was jumping,there was no image at all. I have carried out the usual checks as per manual but still no joy.
