My keypad lights up, but there is no power light. I am unable to set my alarm. It was fi e a few weeks ago. Any ideas? P£ my alarm is a compact which was supplied she the house was built 12 years ago (we moved in at Christmas).

Ok then replace the battery located inside the endstation.

Isolate mains power before you remove the lid.

Most systems will lock out if the battery's kaput.

Yes, red light is on main box. No loose connections and no recent power outages. Not sure of compact model as no paperwork left by pre ious owner.

This compact alarm,veritas by any chance?.

Mains fail and a duff battery at a guess,but it could also be a wiring issue or faulty remote keypad.

So in short I haven't got a clue going on your description.

Is the power led lit on the end station (big silly White box that's usually hidden under the stairs, or in a cupboard,somewhere like that).
