can i use a garter bar and a lace carraige on my zippy plus?

i have a zippy plus and the main carraige is broken, i do have an LC2 would this work with a gater bar and patterning for lace?

I don't know the answer to your query but how about checking ebay to see if you can get a replacement carriage. I believe Silver Viscount also keep a stock of parts for your machine.
