Powering a Carver Cascade 2 Water Heater?

Hi, The leisure battery in my camper van has packed up, Is there an alternative way of powering my Carver water heater like a mains to 12volt Inverta or this that i spotted on Ebay (Fusion 200watt 12volt Power Supply 13.8 volt dc. The handbook says you can use a 12v Battry Charger but it causes a ripple in the Voltage. Regards Bob.

The answer is yes you can buy a 230v to 12v transformer to run it but this will mean you need electric hook up and will need to possibly separate other 12v circuits to stop it overloading the transformer .Why not buy a new leisure battery and assuming you have a charging system built in to your camper van it will then work correctly and let you use sites without electric as well as those with electric.Cheap battery £40-£90 depending on Ah
