No water coming through on Dualit Espressivo coffee machine?

Can anyone help please? I have thoroughly cleaned my machine, descaled and checked filters for blocks but still no water runs through my machine. I can hear it trying to pump, all the lights come on but no water. Also no steam wand action. The machine is two weeks out of guarantee! All suggestions gratefully received.

I had the same problem after only 6 months. Luckily I had bought the machine through John Lewis who promptly returned the full purchase price. Never again Dualit.

I had a similar problem, but I found I had not pushed the water tank in firmly enough. When I pushed it down a bit further it worked ok.

Similar issue - I think this is a company to avoid.. I just bought a Dualit Espress-Auto 3in1 Coffee Machine. Lights and pump work but water spills onto the counter rather than coming through the coffee filter. I called customer support thinking I must be doing something wrong and was told "this is a known problem with some of the new machines and unfortunately the only thing you can do is return it". When I asked why they are selling machines with "known problems" rather than fixing them, was treated to a minutes silence. Stick with delonghi I think!

I have had exactly the same happen. Two months before warranty ran out I paid £20 postage to return and have repaired under warranty. I still wasn't 100% happy on its return but it was working, now 1 month after warranty has run out it will not pump any water through, just keeps flooding out of the drip tray, I have taken apart but no joy. I descaled this every 2 weeks and kept up good maintenance. Will be replacing but not with a Dualit.

2 years late but had same issue ..i took apart and ran small wire through pipes and took apart the solenoid thingy where the water passes throuh before heater and free up white plastic which should move in and out about 3-4mm .. put it back together and run a descaler through. .. sorted ... sorry not all technical but thingys are my limit

OK: it's not the tube to the heater. Having undone the boiler end, I was liberally sprayed with hot water. Next guess: the issue is somewhere in the thermoblock.

I'm having the same issue with my esspressivo. Having just removed, stripped, cleaned and reinstalled the pump (after testing it's function), I can confirm the pump isn't the issue in my case. The high pressure line connecting the pump to the heater is very narrow gauge: wouldn't be surprised if this is where the blockage is.

Hello James
I haven't had any answers to my question yet but sadly my machine is out of warranty and on the internet there are lots of similar stories about this coffee machine. I tried writing to the manufacturer but no reply.....It was an expensive mistake! Apparently if you take the back off you can remove the cable ties (make sure you can buy tiny ones for replacement after) and descale all the little tubes carrying water as they may be scaled up. I think it is the pump though as several times we tried to run the machine in the past and no water came through for a while and then it exploded through and sent coffee grounds flying around the room! There must have been a blockage that we didn't sort out. Quite cross about it! We are now back to the cafetiere and manual frother!!

Same here, exactly - no water at all coming through with nothing attached - removed everything and cleaned the machine and still nothing - guess its the pump that's gone?

Anyone know if that is fixable?
