What is wrong with my oven light fitting?

Lightbulb stopped working in my B1422 neff oven and I changed it to a new one but light in oven will still not come on - bulb is working as I checked it out in a lamp. Rest of oven working fine. Is there a separate fuse for the oven light?
Can someone shed some light please?

Read your answer with much scepticism but lo and behold - it worked!! How the knob which supposedly operates the timer and clock would also control the oven light I don't know but well done you for working it out! 10/10

The other day my wife complained that the interior oven light had gone out - I pressed the control knob - it goes in and out - and the lamp came on - I pressed it again and the lamp went out.

Your oven may be similar.
