This worked on my 1999 SLX.
Sit in the car with all fobs. Ensure all doors, windows, bonnet and boot are shut. Insert key into the ignition, turn to run position but not all the way to start and back to off six times quickly (in less than 5 seconds). Wait a few seconds and your hazard warning indicators will flash twice. You can remove the key if required. The system is now in programming mode. Hold down the open button on your fob whilst pressing red lock button 3 times. The hazards will flash once to confirm. Do this for all fobs. Insert a key into the ignition and turn it on, the hazards should flash twice to bring the system out of programming mode. All the fobs you set up should now work. Enjoy.

I have a Nissan Primera 'V' Reg, and I purchased a new key fob and instructions on how to reset it both from e-bay. The fob cost me around £20 and the instructions were sent to me by e-mail and cost around £5.

Hope this helps.
