Table saw blade?

I was visiting my daughter and family at the time and called in to the local tool supplies for a table saw blade.

I thought the blade I purchased for my table saw was a standard cross cut fine blade [80 teeth] but find on reading the receipt it's a 'Negative rake' blade whatever that is.

Too far away to take it back[ 200mile round trip] and not much sense out of them on phone. Is this blade OK! to use for cross cutting in my Ryobi table saw? as I am a bit nervous not having heard of 'Negative rake' before and on using if I shouldn't and something went wrong I might end up with a 'Packed Lunch' in my underpants.

hi bob mate
...dont worry..a neg rake would be for a saw where by you feed the timber to the saw blade ie a bench saw....and a pos rake is for a ie..miter saw for bringing the blade to the timber..but it only makes a difference in the cut not the safety...not that you would ever see the difference..maby you would on a lesser tooth blade

Ok don't bother found out it should only be used in a radial arm saw not a table saw as being negative rake the blade pushed the work away were as if it was a positive rake it would draw the work piece to the blade and down ward against the table.
