Kenwood TT720 Toaster, lowering mechanism wont go downwards?

Toaster appears to work as you select the settings, then when you touch the button to lower the toast down into the toaster - nothing happens. Any suggestions please?

How can I fix my toaster?

My Kenwood TT750 long slot wide toaster will not engage. When I hold the handle down to start the toaster it will not engage and comes back up. Is there a sensor that I can replace to fix it?

Kenwood 4 slice toaster - one side does not stay down when pressed ?

However it will stay down if pressed for approx 30 seconds. Could this be an elecro magnet problem? If so is there any fix?
